Sweetly Broken

The smell of exhaust and the sound of students laughing, thats how day number two got of to a bang here in Birmingham. Students and adults went full throttle and kept the pedal to metal as they worked on their sites today. A lot of progress was made today and despite the set backs, some crews might be able to finish their projects tomorrow! Wednesdays would normally be our off day but do to the rain that is expected thursday and friday, we have switched it up and will work tomorrow and have the off night thursday. So please pray that God will hold the rain back so we will be able to finish the work we have started.

Sweetly broken, wholly surrendered. That is how God was moving tonight. We had our concert of prayer and God was moving like you wouldn’t believe. Tonight we went through the ACTS prayer. Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. We challenged the students to adore God through their worship and prayer.  We then challenged them to confess anything that was hindering them from experiencing God in his fullness. As staff we went and shared our testimony to show them how God can work and change lives. We then gave them a chance to come before God and confess the things in their life that are keeping them from being in a fulfilling relationship with God. After we had confessed what we needed we went into a state of thanksgiving. Thanking God aloud for what he has done for us. Thanksgiving allows us to realize how good and gracious and loving God is. We then went into a state of supplication, we asked them to pray how God would use them this week and not only this week, but when they returned home as well. We put up the percentages of unchurched people in each county that is represented here this week. This allows it to be more personal and to see how much people in our hometowns need God. Tonight we rejoiced at the sound of crying  because that means God was moving tonight, God was changing lives and molding hearts. Please pray that as this week continues, we would also continue to pray how God can use each of us this week.  Signing Out.

In Him,

Da Bomb Birmingham Bunch
