The Birmingham Goodbye
Thats all she wrote. The World Changers project of Birmingham July 11th-July 18th 2009 has come to a close. All 310 participants will be able to leave knowing they made a difference for Chirst this week here in Birmingham. We had a total of 26 houses that received repairs on and 26 lucky homeowners that had their lives changed forever. Countless other lives have been changed by the work that was done this week. Whether be neighbors of the homeowners, family or friends of the homeowners or even participants, God did big things in Birmingham this week. We had 4 community salvation’s, 4 participant salvation’s and 18 participant rededication’s. Wow! God was moving through so many lives this week and it was amazing to see! It is our hope and prayer that those whose lives were changed, will be able to grow in their walk with Christ and will be able to stand strong in him when they face trials and tribulations. Please pray that for those who were in the community who got saved, that they may find a church to plug into and may be fed and have their cup overflow with God’s spirit and mercy. Pray for the students and leaders as they go back home that they don’t just let this be a one week missions experience but that this may be a start of a revival for Christ in their communities back home. Please pray that they take everything they learned this week and go home and make an impact for Christ!
We would like to thank all of the faculty here at Jackson Olin who helped make this possible. Thank you for allowing us to use your facilities, thank you for preparing meals for us everyday, and thank you for cleaning up after us while we were away at the worksites. We appreciate all that you have done for us this week and hope that God may bless you the rest of your lives. Thank you to Wayne Cook for putting all of this together and making this project happen. Thank you to all the coordinators and supervisors who assisted Wayne in making this all possible. And finally, thank you to all the participants for all that you did this week. For giving up your time and money to come here to love and serve others with such selfless hearts. It was a blessing to see all that you did this week! Take it all home with you and be set apart for Christ. Checking Out.
In Him,
Da Bomb Birmingham Bunch
