Welcome to New Jersey!!!
WELCOME!! New Jersey might be the greatest place to come as a participant. Neptune cares a great amount for the participants that come here to New Jersey to work in their community. When the participants arrive tomorrow morning they will have cots, blankets, sheets and pillows waiting for them in their rooms. On Wednesday night they are throwing us a beach party and giving us shirts to wear! At the beach party students will dine on grilled burgers, barbeque and corn on the cob! It is going to be FANTASTIC!! We are staying at Neptune High School and the facility personnel are incredible. They have worked with so much already moving tables, opening doors and fixing the air conditioning. In Freehold, local restaurants will be feeding crews lunches all week, distributed by local emergency crews. World Changers participants will definitely be spoiled.
The project coordinator is Carol Pipes and her husband, Keith Pipes is speaking. They met while working for World Changers, isn’t that so cute! (Their picture is above.)
Your four summer staffers for the week are from all over the country! Marc Boucher, the music leader, is from New Hampshire by way of Colorado and goes to school in Virginia at Liberty University. Kaity Raines, office manager, is from Warrenton, Va. She just graduated with her masters from James Madison University. Clay Puckett is the audio/visual tech and is from Kennett, Mo. He attends Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Amy Hays, the missions communications specialist, is from Memphis, Tenn./Olive Branch, Miss., and attends the University of Memphis.
The construction coordinator is Tom Fanning, assisted by his wife, Judi. They are extremely excited and have been involved with World Changers for 10 years now. Tom is in charge of all the crew chiefs, supervisors and helps with the selection of sites.
The associational coordinator is George Russ. He is the person in charge of finding host churches for the crews and making sure they get their lunches at the work sites.
