2010 – Unhindered
This years theme is about becoming Unhindered in our walk with Christ. Our theme passage is from 2 Corinthians 5: 14-15 (NIV): For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. One of the key words in this passage is compel. As followers of Christ, we are compelled, or encouraged, pushed, challenged to get rid of all the worldly things that occupy our hearts. Christ modeled the unhindered life- style for us, and he desires us to live an unhindered life for Him. Heart-filled joy only comes when we become unhindered in our walk with Christ. Once we accept that, we can eliminate the hindrances and begin living for Him.
Students from across the country will converge to serve communities and experience God moving in amazing ways. Our prayer this week is that students will take the plunge to free their lives and completely surrender to Him. For as much as we come to be a blessing to the communities and residents where we serve, God will undoubtedly bless our students as well.
