All of our students arrived safely in plenty of time for opening celebration! We had all 7 churches arrive in before 3:00, and then we had a great opening celebration with our speaker Chad Hess who challenged us to focus on God and keep Him as number one as we begin to minister to the people of Florence.
Churches joining us this week are New Canaan Baptist Church from Alabama, Ringgold First Baptist Church from Georgia, Fairview Baptist from Mississippi, Highland Baptist Church from Mississippi, Kingshighway Baptist Church from Missouri, West Point from Alabama and Smiths Station Baptist from Alabama.
Tonight our speaker Chad Hess challenged the students to really think about why they are here and they were all given pin and asked to witness to one person this week. Our project coordinator Tim Ray also challenged them to soak in the truth and reality of Romans 10:13-15. We’re so excited about what God is going to do through our students this week.
We also got a treat this morning and got to have some fellowship and share some watermelon!
