World Changers.
Change: to make the form, nature, content, future course, etc., of (something) different from what it is or from what it would be if left alone.
This week change has occurred. Change on the exterior of homes in the Anniston and Oxford Area as new roofs and new paint jobs were accomplished this week. Change in the lives of homeowners and neighbors as they related to the crews and Christ’s love was revealed. Change in the lives of the crew members. Some shared about their relationship with Christ for the first time to someone that did not have a relationship with Christ, others realized that God was calling them to serve Him vocationally. In reaching out to others, participants found themselves unexpectedly receiving the blessing of relationship and built character.
Pray for the students as they go home. Pray that what they learned here in Anniston, Alabama will be taken home and applied day-to-day.
Another day of work is complete in Anniston, Alabama. This afternoon the crews were given time off in the afternoon to spend time in the Anniston area. There are two more days of work left. Pray for the participants as they continue through the last part of the week. They are physically tired and worn from long days, but continuing to keep a good attitude as they work. We are waiting expectantly for what God will do in the lives of residents and participants in the remaining days.
Today was another great day of work. God provided sunshine once more, yet everyone stayed hydrated. Christ’s love will continue to be spread throughout Anniston/Oxford. All of the crews are working hard. Many of the sites have neighborhood children gathered around watching and building relationships. Of course, everyone is excited when the popsicles come around in the afternoon.
Tonight, we participated in a special time of worship called the Concert of Prayer. We walked through four specific parts of worship: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. God revealed himself to students and adults. Please pray for the students and adults as this week is changing their world.
At 7:00 this morning a circle of 150 people stood in the parking lot of Greenbrier Baptist. They were gathered to pray over this week of work in the Oxford/Anniston. Minutes after the prayer was voiced, vans were loaded and off to their respective work sites.
Painting, roofing, and siding are all jobs that are happening this week. The crews had a great start to their sites today. Many of the crews had the chance to spend time with their homeowners and their neighbors.
Pray that the participants would look for opportunities to work wholeheartedly as well as to share about their relationship with Christ. Pray that they would receive ample rest and nourishment so that their bodies will be strong as they work hard.

This morning crews met for the first time. Each crew is comprised of students from several church groups. This morning we worshiped together at Greenbrier Baptist Church. After lunch, the crews went to their worksite for the week. They had the opportunity to meet their homeowner and meet the neighbors that the crews will get to minister to this week.
Pray for the participants as they go to work tomorrow. Pray that opportunities to share Christ would come, even tomorrow. Ask God to not only change the world of the residents and people in Anniston, but change the world of the participants also.
The Summer Staff and Coordinating Staff have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the church groups.
