This week in the Greenville Community 18 homes were repaired. Countless lives were changed by the work these young people did this city and they impacted several lives for the better for the rest of their lives. Also these young people have been impacted for the rest of their lives.

Sorry no post yesterday guys. A line of about six girls waiting to get in the shower trailer, three girls in the shower trailer; Eric, our Project Coordinator spots a funnel cloud, THEN a tree comes down right beside the girls and snaps power lines sending our entire facility into the dark abyss. We hurried everyone into the hallways to wait out the storm. No injures were acquired; however, we were without power for more than 24 hours.
We have several wow moments from our worksites but I’d like to share two. Courtney Whisenant, on the Dirty, Dusty, and Downright Determined crew, shared with someone in the neighborhood of her worksite. The neighbor told Courtney, “it is God’s will that you are here because I’m not even supposed to be home right now.” That really touched Whisenant because she decided to come the day before her church group left. Across town on another worksite Richard Dees shared Christ with a chid today. He was one of the little boys who lives in the home. Richard prayed with him and and then told him, “we are brothers in Christ now and I’ll never forget about you.”
Everyone was up before the sun this morning, getting ready for their first day of work. After breakfast we went out to the big parking lot and made a gigantic circle. Our Project Coordinator, Eric Wooten, prayed over the group who was going out into the community and for the community. Last night he challenged everyone to share with at least one person this week, he prayed for the students in their endeavor to meet his challenge. After the prayer they all raced to their church vans and buses to wave and scream at the camera as they left for their first day of work and ministry.
Today every found out what crew they were on then went to a local church with their crew. That church fed them lunch, which they will do all week, and then took them to visit the worksite. They met the neighbors and told them why we are here and do what we do. After a relaxing afternoon, we had an amazing worship experience. Travis led us in music and Eric challenged us for the week to come. We had a very intense time with God and He was very present and moving among our group of students and adults.
Everyone has arrived and is eager to begin working! We have seven churches coming to Greenville to work with us this week! There are churches traveling from Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, and South Carolina to be a part of what God is going to do in the lives here in Greenville this week. They are Creek Path Baptist Church from Guntersville, Alabama, First Baptist Church from Camden, South Carolina, Hernando Baptist Church from Hernando, Mississippi, Sullivan Baptist Church from Kingsport, Tennessee, First Baptist Church from Ellisville, Missouri, Summerville Baptist Church from Summerville, South Carolina, and First Baptist Church from Maben, Mississippi.
Hey guys!! Welcome to World Changers Greenville!! We have arrived and are setting everything up. I want to introduce my esteemed Summer Staff colleagues and our Coordinating Staff who we work closely with.

From left to right we have the great Travis Osteen rockin’ the guitar-our music leader and team leader; we have Taylor Morris-who is only the best Office Manager in the land; we have Michael George-the dude behind the camera all week; and myself, Kari Sydnor-Missions Communications Specialist.

Now for our awesome coordinating staff! Also from left to right: Eric Wooten, Project Coordinator and Worship Speaker; Dave Boutwell, Construction Coordinator; and Joel Thrasher, Associational Coordinator.
