So long farewell…

So it is coming to an end today. Today is the last day of work and many crews are done so they are going to help other crews finish and also work on other sites that could be finished in a days time. Here a few project statistics as of now: the # of homes worked on 34, # of participant decisions 11, # of community decisions 12 (including being saved and re-dedications), two people had questions about local churches and two people had questions about Christ. Thank you so much for all your support and prayers! We hope to see you at a another World Changers project again next summer!!

To the Least of These

As I am writing this blog I am listening to the song “To the Least of These” by Matt Papa and it hit me that this song relates to World Changers so much! “I will worship you by giving to the poor by bringing hope to hopeless places. I will love you by feeding those in need by touching their disease and their souls with your love. You said what you do to the least of these you do unto me!” This is first couple of lines in the song and that is exactly what we should do as christians. We are called to be a witness and that does not mean taking the easy road and doing what is comfortable. We will be tested and stretched but His strength will get us through!!! This week the participants have had the opportunity to bring hope to the hopeless. There is a homeowner who has had her home worked on for three years now and this week they are building her a deck. The daughter told us that the deck and the students there are giving her hope to keep fighting her cancer and to hang in there because there is good in the world! Those stories are why we do World Changers and have long days and sleepless nights. The participants are changing people’s lives more than they know. Please continue to pray for them as the have one more day of work!!

P.S. You will no longer be able to send E-couragrams.

Send me, I’ll go!

Today the participants loaded up to set off on their second day of work! The crews are doing all different types of construction. The work varies from painting to siding to roofing to building a deck! Everyone is starting to get a bit tired because they worked so hard yesterday and I am sure they are working extremely hard today as well. Please continue to be in a state of prayer for this project because Christ is moving (a participant got saved last night!!!!!). As you pray please pray that Christ gives us energy to continue spreading His name. The crews witnessed to almost 50 people yesterday, how awesome is that?!

And they’re off!!

Today was the first day at the work site. We started the day in a huge circle holding hands in prayer. It was amazing to look around and see all 343 of us getting ready to depart for the sites! They had a great first day and worked a lot and extremely hard!

God is good all the time! All the time God is good!

Tonight was the second night of worship and God is moving already! There is a security guard working here at the school that came into worship on his own last night which was really exciting because most of the time that does not happen. Tonight he came back to worship and got SAVED!!!! See God is good all the time! All the time God is good! His name is James so be praying for James as he is a new christian and the devil will be attacking him for sure. There is a crew that is working only a few houses down from his so he is going to hang out with them during the week and he is going to hopefully bring his family with him to worship tomorrow night!!

Go time taco!

Today the 12 groups arrived. A couple of groups had to arrive right when the Welcome Celebration started but it was okay because they made it right before the the greatest part of the of Welcome Celebration which is the World Changers song! The churches are from North Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, Missouri, Ohio, and South Carolina. Tomorrow the participants will find out which crew they are on and they are really excited!!

East team is the Beast team!!
