This awesome week has come to and end. And wow what a week it was! God moved through all our students and adults this week and the community of Indianapolis. We had 3 salvations, 3 recommitments, 142 presentations of the gospel, and 250 tracts passed out. It’s amazing to see how God works. We don’t know how he does it, but what we do know is that he changes lives everyday!
We would like to thank everyone involved this week, from the coordinators, to the leaders, to the students, and the local churches. Without the willingness to serve, which all of these people possess this week would not have been possible. We hope to see you at a World Changers project in 2010!
For His Glory,
The Middle East Team
We have one more day left here in Indiana. The crews have been working really hard and are excited to see the fruits of their labor, on the site and in the neighborhoods. The students continue to talk to neighbors and other people who ask questions about Why We’re Here.
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” – Matthew 9:37
Our main focus today is missions. We have raised $1,657.41 so far for the missions offering and will continue to collect money till Friday night. If the students are able to raise $400 more for the offering then they will get to pie the staff member of their choice in the face during closing celebration. Tonight, we will have a missions round table where students and adults will have the opportunity to come and learn more about different mission opportunities. It is World Changer’s goal to see each participant commit one semester or summer to missions before they graduate college. Please be in prayer that students will attend the round table and come eager with questions.
For His Glory,
The Middle East Team
“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
Today is the second full day of work and everybody is working hard. This morning, the crews Scrape Splatter & Roll, Paint Chips, and Bone Crushers, were visited by a photographer from the Indiana Herald. All of theses crews are painting houses for a local church, which will rent them out for an affordable price. However, this is not the most exciting event happening here at World Changers.
Last night the students were challenged during worship to nail their sins to the cross and give it all up to God so that they can concentrate on praising him. The response was tremendous, God was truly moving in the hearts of the participants. Tonight, during the Concert of Prayer students will be able to spend the entire service giving thanks and adoration to God. This will be an awesome opportunity for the students to concentrate on giving glory to God. We are at loss for words on what Christ is doing in and through us this week. Please keep all the students and adults in your payers today as they work hard this week. Also be in prayer that God will strength them to do the things he has planned for them to do.
For His Glory,
The Middle East Team
Today was the Great Send Off, which kicked off what is hopefully going to be a fantastic week! All 22 crews headed off to their sites, despite the rain storm coming through. The crews worked through the morning rain and were able to start evangelizing to the Indianapolis community. Paint brushes were pulled out, roofs were ripped off, and windows began to be put in. We as a staff can not wait to hear all the stories the students will have after their first day on the job site. Please remember to pray for the students as they work hard and worship tonight. The speaker will be challenging the students to put their sins aside so they concentrate on glorifying God this week and on nothing else.
For his Glory,
The Middle East Team
It’s the first full day at World Changers here in Indianapolis! Today everyone split off into their crews and had some time to chat. After all 22 crews had sometime to make new friends we squeezed on to the football field to take a quick group picture. Each crew then headed out to church at a local church, where they will have lunch and hang out with their crews. Later this afternoon, the students will go through evangelism and position training to prepare them for this week.
We are confident that this will be a fantastic week! Everyone is excited and ready to get to work! Please be in prayer that the students will be able to share their story with someone from the community of Indianapolis and maybe even someone on their crew.
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ”Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here Am I. Send me!” – Isaiah 6:8

Today all 14 churches arrived pumped and ready to work! These churches are from all over the United States and they are:
Concord Baptist
Corinth Baptist
Cornerstone Baptist
Cross Keys Baptist
Crossroads Baptist
Highland Community
Rockdale Baptist
Salem Baptist
Smith Valley Baptist
South Hill
Spring Creek Baptist
Temple FWB
Valier First Baptist
Valley View Baptist
All 14 of these churches combine to give us a total of approximately 250 participants. After the churches arrived, and unloaded we had Welcome Celebration. During Welcome Celebration, we played exciting games like Name that Tune and Air Rock Band. After Welcome Celebration, the students headed to dinner and then moved on to worship. During Worship, the speaker Mike Snow challenged the students to be Set Apart this week and reach out to the people of Indianapolis. After seeing how the first day went we cannot wait to see what God has in store for this week.
In His Glory,
The Middle East Team
Trailers and vans will be loaded with luggage, tools, students, and adults tomorrow morning, all on their way to Indianapolis, IN, but not just for another big race at the Indy motor speedway. These adults and students are coming to Indianapolis with a much greater purpose in mind. They are on their way to spend the week serving the Lord through construction and evangelism. Throughout the week, students will be working on houses in the community and serving the community in any way they can. These 300 students/adults are from states such as Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Missouri, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Our summer staff has been anxiously awaiting everyone’s arrival and cannot wait to see what God has in store for all of us this week. The Office Manager/Team Leader this week is Sam Jennings; he is from North Carolina and will be in charge of all the paper work for the week. Courtney Haveman is the Missions Communications Specialist, if you have any questions about the offering or different mission opportunities she will gladly answer them. Worship will be lead all week by Music Leader Jordan Price, who is from Georgia, and all sound/video will be controlled by our A/V Tech Lexi Berryhill who is also from the great state of Texas.

Please keep all of the staff, students, and adults in your prayers this week as they go out and serve the community of Indianapolis.
Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’
-Matthew 28:18-20
